About Troy Micklon

Troy Micklon is a lifelong Granite Stater, a longtime Manchester resident, and a problem-solver with over two decades of experience helping organizations work better, smarter, and more collaboratively.

He’s running for Ward 9 Alderman to help turn neighborhood concerns into actionable priorities and to bring a collaborative, common-sense approach to city government.

Troy moved to Manchester in the mid-1990s and has proudly called Ward 9 home since 2003. He has built a career in the technology and defense sectors as a business analyst, working with organizations that support national security and public service. His job is to bring people together, cut through red tape, and find real solutions that deliver value, skills he believes are sorely needed in local government.

Since 2010, Troy has also served as Treasurer of the Autumn Ridge Condominium Association, where he’s responsible for managing the budget, overseeing expenses, and ensuring transparent financial practices on behalf of his fellow residents.

“In my work and in my neighborhood, I focus on eliminating waste, prioritizing what matters, and staying accountable to the people we serve. I think those same principles should apply to how our city operates.”

Troy is especially concerned with the rising cost of living in Manchester. As taxes continue to increase, he’s hearing from more residents who are struggling to keep up and he believes Ward 9 deserves a representative who will take that seriously, ask hard questions, and push for efficiency and transparency in how the city manages its resources.

Outside of work, Troy is a proud husband and father. He and his wife Cheryl Megan, his high school sweetheart, have been married since 2005. Their son attends Manchester public schools, giving Troy a personal stake in the strength of local education and the future of the city’s neighborhoods.

“I love this city. I’m running because I want to make it better for my family, for yours, and for every resident in Ward 9.”
